201 Wing Charlottetown consists of approximately 80 members, with 50 Regular members and 30 Associate members. 201 Wing hosts socials on the last Friday of each month. Beginning in January 2017 the socials will take place at the Malcolm Darrach Community Center, 1 Avonlea Drive (East Royalty.)
201 Wing enjoys a tremendous level of participation in all its activities and the socials are normally attended by approximately 75% plus of its members.
In the summer months of June, July and August, Wing members and their friends and guests enjoy playing golf then a BBQ follows later that afternoon.
We are involved in the Annual Legion Poppy Fund Drive and in the two weeks before Remembrance Day, Wing members volunteer their time and are responsible for the poppy table at Canadian Tire in Charlottetown.
Every December a Christmas Social is held where members and their guests exchange gifts followed by a light lunch and entertainment. Donations which include monetary and food are go to the Food Bank in Charlottetown.
For the past 50 plus years, 201 Wing has hosted the Annual Battle of Britain Ceremony each September. This ceremony is open for all members of the service, both presently serving and retired, as well as to all Island residents. 201 Wing also participates in the Annual Remembrance Day ceremonies.
