Membership and Wing Constitution

As specified in The Wing Constitution and House Rules, there are three categories of membership in 200 Wing:

Regular Membership

These members are ex-RCAF personnel (Regular or Reserve) or serving CF personnel. There are other categories of eligibility as outlined in para 3.2 of the Constitution. These members are entitled to all privileges of the Wing including the right to vote at all regular or special meetings and to run for election to any position on the Wing Executive.

Applicants must complete the prescribed application form and be sponsored by a Regular member in good standing.

Regular/Dual Membership

These members will  be the spouse of a Regular member in good standing or the widow/widower of a deceased Regular member. Dual members must meet at least one of the eligibility requirements as per Regular membership. This category of membership shall entitle the holder to all privileges of the Wing.

Applicants must complete the prescribed application form and be sponsored by a Regular member in good standing.

Associate Membership

This category of membership is open to any Canadian citizen not otherwise eligible for regular membership and who supports the Association’s aim and objectives. This category of membership shall entitle the holder  to all privileges of the Wing except the right to attend special meetings and to hold office except that of Secretary. An exception to this requirement is that of the Associate Spokesperson, an Associate member who is appointed by the Executive and who shall be eligible to vote at regular and special meetings and may hold the position of a Director or Secretary.

Applicants must complete the prescribed application form and be sponsored by a Wing member in good standing.

Applications

Applications are available at the Wing bar.  There is one produced by the National office for Regular members and a locally produced form for Associate members. Applications are to be filled out, counter-signed by a sponsor and left at the bar. They will be collected by the Membership Chairman and presented at the monthly general meeting for approval/rejection. All applicants will be notified in writing of the result.
